2005 Chapter Meeting

Thanks again to,  in the attached Picture,(knelling) J. Westfall, (Standing L to R) R. Skidmore, T. Kassa, D. Bodkin, H.(Scotty) Koester, R. Frederick, N. Pugh, M. Adams, P. Joesph, LTjg (SEAL) Johnny Wiedmann, G, (Sandbagger)AblittT, T. (The auctioneer) McHugh, J. Hammerle, M. (Big money) Moore, K Reyes, J. (BZ, Boss) Couture, T. Bussinger, P. Slempa,( next 2 were from the Northwest Chapter GameWardens of Vietnam Assoc, Heinz Hickethier and Tom Restamayer), Kiet Nguyen.

Below is a report from Jerry Hammerle.

“I can only sum up this past weekend get together as fantastic, superlative, outstanding, OK I'll give up with the one word descriptions of  what was a very Professional, unclassified, outline as to what is going on in NSW.

This presentation by LTjg Johnny Wiedmann, was an opportunity for us to hear a current active duty Warrior give us, (who have been out of the loop, so to speak), an informative and eye opening understanding as to what our reliefs are dealing with.

Having retired in "88, it is now easy for me to understand how the WW11 operators were Proud and Appreciative of those that  followed them from the  NCDU's and early UDT's into the present day NSW, SEAL Teams and Support units.

Not only did we have Johnny to Thank for his talk and Q&A time,  but we also, again Thank his wife, Tawny who provide us with an overview of her experience with some of our Fearless Assoc. Staff during the 1st S.W.A.T  tour.  Tawny also gave a very emotional talk regarding the focus and help being provided by the NSW Foundation to The families of NSW operators that have been lost in the GWOT.

I will personally attest to Tawny's presentation as the catalyst which provided the enthusiastic response during the "Auction" that has allowed us, as the Northwest Chapter to send a total of $1,000 to the NSW Foundation, "In Honor of those we have lost".

There very well may be more that was sent by the other addresses in this e-mail that we do not know of.
I would recommend that any one that has sent a donation to the Foundation look at the Foundation web site in order to ID which account you want your donation to go to.

Lloyd (Doc) Schrier I tried to bid for the paperweight for you, but was outbid by M. Moore

I am sorry to say that due to a lack of photographic equipment before ending the meeting, there is no picture of the truly Photogenic in attendance, the Wives.

I will keep all informed as to the weekend at the Bussinger Family, Anderson Island, vacation home get together early next summer”.
